Rome
2009
I was in Rome at
the end of May 2009 courtesy of my friends Kate and Justin
Turner.
They treated me to a ticket for the Champions League Final
at The Olympic Stadium. Unfortunately Manchester United
lost.
It was also an opportunity to see Rome. I found the Vatican
too gaudy, but the ancient Roman sites at the Colosseum,
and the Pantheon were fantastic. These ancient Roman sites
are still amazing after nearly 2000 years.
Unfortunately I was robbed after the game and had my
passport and 300 euro stolen.
